The Tools
Enhancing
Academic
Curricula
Habits
(TEACH) Program, primary
focus provides an alternative
approach to the development
of literacy skills or
lack thereof in students
of Metro Davidson County
public and private school.
All the while impressing
upon the mind of each
student the importance
of conducting himself
or herself in an orderly
manner.
Goal
Promote
superior scholastic
ideas.
Method/Approach
TEACH
follows the six-week
and semester divisions
of Metro Public Schools’
for the curriculum to
be presented. Students’
grades are tracked and
used as a benchmark
for growth.The art of
effective communication
will be developed using
these eight steps:
Reading,
English, Mathematics,
Public Speaking, Respect,
Confidence/Self-esteem,
Teamwork, and Creativity.
Purpose
The
purpose of this effort
is to reinforce the
core information that
is covered during the
school year. The tutelage
will coincide with the
curriculum set forth
by the Metro Public
School and Private School
system. This pedagogical
component (TEACH) will
aid and support the
continual growth of
the students’
cognitive process. We
also add enrichment
in the summer program
by continually practicing
effective communication
skills. Thus, through
this repetitive measure,
the information is retained.
